Eight Para Swimmers with Intellectual Impairment Headed to U.S. Paralympic Swim Team Trials In June
Athletes Without Limits would like to congratulate the eight swimmers with Intellectual Impairment (Class S14) who have qualified for the 2024 U.S. Paralympic Swim Team Trials June 27-29, 2024.
2024 Boston Marathon adds T20 Para Division for Athletes with Intellectual Impairment
On September 7, 2023 The Boston Athletic Association made a very important announcement: They've added a division for intellectual impairment starting with the 2024 Boston Marathon (April 15, 2024), which is open to Virtus II1/T20 runners with National or International classification.
There is prize money for the first three male and female finishers (up to $2500 +500 for a course record within the division).

2023 Virtus Global Games France US Team Information
Athletes Without Limits has posted US Team travel, dates and cost for our trip to the June 2023 Vitus Global Games in France and a US Team Registration Form to our team page at: https://www.athleteswithoutlimits.org/gg2023. The 2023 Games are on track to be the largest Virtus Global Games to date with an estimated 1,200+ top athletes with intellectual impairment from 80 countries competing for the World Championships in their respective sports.

2016 Rio Paralympics Filled with “Firsts” for US Athletes with Intellectual Disability
The 2016 Rio Paralympic was filled with firsts for US para-athletes with intellectual disability. On the very same day of competition both Brianna Clark and Michael Brannigan became the first US athletes with intellectual disability to medal at the Parlympics. Clark handily won the Gold in the Women's 400m with a time of 57.79 and Brannigan took Gold in the men's 1500m with a time of 3:51.73. Jones and Masters Win Paralympic Bronze in Rowing Mixed Double
Athletes Without Limits is proud to have members of our DC-based integrated rowing team on the podium in London.
The mixed double sculls crew of Rob Jones (Lovettsville, Va.) and Oksana Masters (Buffalo, N.Y.) won bronze in the Trunk & Arms category Sunday at the 2012 Paralympic Games in Eton Dorney, outside London. Theirs is the first U.S. Paralympic medal in this event since rowing became part of the Paralympic Games in Beijing in 2008.
