2015 Para-Swimming Open (Cincinnati)

Host: Enabling Possibilities Foundation, Inc.

Sanctioning: U.S. Paralympics, International Paralympic Committee

Eligibility: Open to All swimmers with a physical impairment, visual impairment or intellectual impairment are welcome. Seeding will be based upon time, regardless of sport class. All swimmers will compete together in each event (i.e. multi-disability). This is an open/developmental meet with no time standards. Athletes with intellectual impairment (S-14 class) should contact Athletes Without Limits and apply for provisional/national level eligibility review to participate.

Registration Deadline
:  All entries must be received by April 4, 2015. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of meet management, but will be assessed a late fee of $100. No late entries will be accepted after April 17, 2015

Registration: Athletes should register directly with the event organizers using the link below. If an athlete with intellectual impairment would like to swim (and be coached by) the Athletes Without Limits / Nautical Milers affiliate team based in Atlanta, GA, contact Coach Pat Thoreson.

Important note regarding classification appointments for athletes with intellectual disability: When registering for Paralympic Swim events there is an option to “Request a Classification Appointment” before the meet. New (s14) athletes with intellectual impairment do not need to request this appointment since national eligibility is a review of documents rather than the physical exam used for athletes with physical disabilities.

Facility: The competition pool is an eight lane, 50 meter pool facility which is completely accessible.
