2021 RowersChoice Global Challenge (Virtual)

The RowersChoice Global Challenge is back and committed to making virtual races exciting in 2021! With categories for juniors, collegiate, open, masters and para, there is a race for everyone…Every bracket has an opportunity to win prize money!

PARA REGATTA: We are looking for para rowers and future para rowers who seek a race for tough competition, prizes and fun! The competition rules apply only to the RowersChoice Global Virtual Challenge of 2021. All para events are self-classified so athletes do not need official classification or eligibility to race.
Different Distance Every Week:

• Due Jan 21 Para Registration & Time Trial Distance = 750m
• Week of Jan 25 (submit by Jan 28) – Round of 32 = 350m
• Week of Feb 1 (submit by Feb 4) – Round of 16 = 1:00min
• Week of Feb 8 (submit by Feb 11) – Round of 8 = 1000m
• Week of Feb 15 (submit by Feb 18) – Round of 4 = 500m
• Week of Feb 22 (submit by Feb 25) – Championship = 2000m

The rules of this competition are adapted from USRowing’s rules and standards with consideration made for upcoming US Rowing rule changes being voted upon and recent confirmed FISA & VIRTUS rule changes.

Registration for this event at RegattaCentral registration for para regatta has been extended to January 21, 2021 (11:59pm PST). Athletes with intellectual impairment and other para classes do not need official Virtus eligibility or Para classification to enter. Athletes with intellectual impairment or para Military veterans maycontact AWL for entry assistance.
