CANCELLED: 2021 Virtus World Tennis Championships (Belgium)

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED BY THE VIRTUS HOST DUE TO ONGOING CHALLENGES WITH THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED AT A LATER DATE.
Tennis Vlaanderen will host the rescheduled 9th Virtus (formerly Inas) World Tennis Championships at TC Wimbledon in Sint-Truiden, Belgium July 18th – July 24th, 2021.
The event is currently open to athletes with Virtus International Level eligibility in either the II1-Intellectual Impairment or II2 Significant Additional Impairment such as Down Syndrome) groups. US players can review the eligibility criteria and application process on our eligibility page.
Note US tennis players who are eligible for the trial Virtus II3 Group for athletes with autism who do not meet the IQ or Adaptive Criteria for II1 Intellectual Disability should also complete the Interest Form below so we can advocate for the inclusion of the II3 group at this and future Virtus Tennis events (when there are enough interested II3 players worldwide to be viable.)
Athletes Without Limits will provide additional details specific to US athletes as we learn more from the Virtus hosts while monitoring Covid-19 nationally and worldwide closer to the event.
As of March 2021 it is unlikely the US will be able to organize team travel to this event due to ongoing challenges associated with organizing group travel and events due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
