2024 BAYADA Adaptive Rowing Regatta (Philadelphia)

St. Joseph’s University Boathouse on the banks of the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, PA. The event is sanctioned by US Rowing so follows all USRowing Para (FISA) Rules for competition.
The BAYADA Regatta is the nation’s oldest and largest all-adaptive rowing competition for athletes with disabilities. Sponsored by BAYADA Home Health Care, the event takes place September 14, 2024 at the

BAYADA Sport Classes for Athletes with Intellectual or Physical Impairments:
Intellectual Impairments:
- ID Sport Class
Defined as an athlete with an Intellectual Disability (Virtus II-1): must be nationally classified by Athletes Without Limits and listed on the AWL Rowing Eligibility List. - Inclusion 2x Events
Disabled athlete must be classified for the specific event sport class/Non-disabled athlete can be any other sport class (including Virtus II-2 Down Syndrome or Virtus II-3 High Functioning Autism with qualified coach approval)
Physical Impairments:
- PR1: minimal or no trunk function
- PR2: functional use of trunk and unable to use sliding seat
- PR3: functional use of legs, trunk and arms and can use sliding seat
- PRD- VI: visual impairment, may include subclass of B1, B2, B3 according to IBSA standards
- Inclusion 2x Events: Disabled athlete must be classified for the specific event sport class/Non-disabled athlete can be any other sport class.
