Cyclist Syd Lea heads to Inas World Championships in Netherlands
The 2017 INAS World Cycling Championships will take place as part of the UCI European Junior Cycling Tour between July 30th and 4th August 2017, in Assen, The Netherlands.
Cyclist Syd Lea was the first ever Athlete Without Limits, the first US athlete ever to win an Inas medal, and the first US athlete to win an Inas World Title when he took gold at the event in 2011 Italy. He has since won multiple silver medals at the 2012 Turkey and 2014 Czech Republic events and heads to Assen this week to once again represent USA at this year's Championships.

2017 Athletes Without Limits Swimming Nationals Results
Congratulations to all the swimmers who recently competed in the 2017 Athletes Without Limits Long-Course & Open Water Swimming Nationals in Atlanta Georgia July 6-9th. In addition to being the National Championships for S14 swimmers with intellectual disability, the event was the first in the US to include two new Inas pilot classes for athletes with Down's Syndrome and athletes with Autism+. The 2016 Rio Paralympic was filled with firsts for US para-athletes with intellectual disability. On the very same day of competition both Brianna Clark and Michael Brannigan became the first US athletes with intellectual disability to medal at the Parlympics. Clark handily won the Gold in the Women's 400m with a time of 57.79 and Brannigan took Gold in the men's 1500m with a time of 3:51.73. Athletes Without Limits congratulates all the players who recently competed in the 2016 Inas World Championships for high-performance players with intellectual impairment.
Top athletes from Australia, Belguim, Czech Republic, Italy and the United States came to Sea Colony Tennis Resort in Bethany Beach, Delaware for the 5-day tournament, which took place June 10-19th. A special thank you to the coaches, USTA officials, volunteers, parents, our hosts at Sea Colony Tennis Center and event sponsors who helped make the first US hosted Inas event such a success.
