2023 Virtus Para-Equestrian Video Competition (Round 1)
About the Event
The 2023 Annual Virtus Para-Equestrian Video Competition for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities will have two entry windows. Winter Round 1 closes March 27, 2023. Entries received by January 31, 2023 will be considered for qualification for the in-person equestrian competition at the 2023 Virtus Global Games in Vichy, France. Two (possibly three) U.S. riders have already qualified and Athletes Without Limits will be taking a U.S. Team to France in June under the direction of AWL National Equestrian Program Director Courtney Haber.

The 2022 6th Annual Virtus Para-Equestrian Video Competition for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities will have two entry windows Spring (By June 13th) and then Fall (October).
To compete in this event, athletes should be able to complete one or more of the accepted Para Dressage tests listed below at their home facility and have a parent/trainer/other record a video by following the guidelines provided. (Videos of tests judged in another competition may not be entered.)

With the COVID pandemic still affecting areas differently please prioritize the safety of riders by following your local area and facility guidelines at all times.

From June 2-11, 2023 more than one thousand of the best athletes from around the world will compete in the quadrennial Virtus Global Games, hosted in Vichy, France for seven days of elite multi-sport competition.
The Games is the World Championships for athletes with an intellectual impairment in the following sports: Basketball, Cycling, Equestrian (new), Futsal, Judo (new), Karate (new), Rowing, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis and Track & Field/Athletics, with additional demonstration events.
