Miller Family Open Para Track & Field Meet (University of Michigan)
Athletes Without Limits is partnering with University of Michigan Adaptive Sports to provide athletes with intellectual disability, down syndrome and autism with the opportunity to the inaugural Miller Family Open Para Track and Field Meet at the U of M track.
This will be a ground-breaking opportunity for US and international athletes to compete at a world class facility. In addition to established national athletes, newer athletes ages 14+ are invited to attend as the meet will also serve as an AWL and U.S. Paralympic Track & Field Talent Identification event.

2027 Virtus Global Games Heads to Cairo, Egypt
Virtus has just announced that the prestigious seventh edition of the Global Games, scheduled for 2027, will be hosted in Cairo, Egypt!

SAVE THE DATE: 2026 Virtus Americas Regional Games (Peru)
Virtus Regional Championships for athletes with intellectual impairments offer athletes from each of the five Virtus regions (Americas, Oceania, Europe, Asia) a high-level event one year prior to the Virtus Global Games World Championships (which are held every four years).
As the US member of Virtus, Athletes Without Limits will field a US Team to this inaugural event based on athlete interest in the sports offered. Details including qualification standards in some sports, will be posted as they are released by Virtus and the host country.

Just announced! The 2027 Virtus Global Games will be held in Cairo, Egypt!

Held every four years the Virtus Global Games is the World Championships for Athletes with Intellectual Impairment in 10+ summer sports. Following our 2023 US National Team trip to Vichy France, Athletes Without Limits will take US athletes to the 2027 Games. Details and exact dates will be posted as they are released by Virtus and the host country.
Past trips have included France (2023), Australia (2019), Ecuador (2015), Italy (2011) and the Czech Republic (2009).
Sept 15, 2023 Entry Deadline for 2024 Boston Marathon’s New T20 Para Class for Intellectual Impairment
On September 7, 2023 The Boston Athletic Association made a very important announcement: They've added a division for intellectual impairment starting with the 2024 Boston Marathon (April 15, 2024), which is open to Virtus II1/T20 runners with National or International classification.
There is prize money for the first three male and female finishers (up to $2500 +500 for a course record within the division).
Note that the entry deadline for the 2024 Boston Marathon is September 15, 2023 so this will mostly affect entries to the 2025 event.

2023 Virtus Global Games France US Team Information
Athletes Without Limits has posted US Team travel, dates and cost for our trip to the June 2023 Vitus Global Games in France and a US Team Registration Form to our team page at: https://www.athleteswithoutlimits.org/gg2023. The 2023 Games are on track to be the largest Virtus Global Games to date with an estimated 1,200+ top athletes with intellectual impairment from 80 countries competing for the World Championships in their respective sports.
Results from the 2022 Virtus World Cross Country Championships in San Diego
Congratulations to Virtus Teams and runners who competed in the two-day Virtus World Cross Country Championships in San Diego November 19-20, 2022.
Opening Ceremony was held outside at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center, where the Virtus Teams all stayed and trained throughout the week-long event. Along with the ceremonial lighting of the torch the athletes received encouragement from three time Team USA Olympic Triple Jumper Willie Banks , who serves as an elected member of the World Athletics Council.
